The 30L oil spill kit provides a compact selection of absorbents, basic PPE and cleanup materials for responding to small, localised spills involving compatible oils, diesel, petrol, hydraulic fluid and other hydrocarbons.

All components are stored in a laminated woven polypropylene carry bag for convenient placement in vehicles, workshops, warehouses, factories and maintenance areas.

The absorbent boom helps limit the spread of spilled liquid. Oil-absorbent pads, an absorbent pillow and 3kg of absorbent scatter can then be applied to the contained spill. Waste bags and cable ties are included for collecting used absorbent materials for appropriate disposal.

Before responding to a spill:

1. Identify the spilled liquid.
2. Consult the relevant safety data sheet.
3. Isolate the affected area.
4. Remove ignition sources where applicable.
5. Wear PPE suitable for the spilled substance.
6. Confirm that the absorbents are compatible with the liquid.
7. Use the boom to limit the spread.

9. Collect saturated materials without spreading contamination.
10. Dispose of used materials according to the SDS and applicable waste procedures.
